Can AI sing a song in my own voice?

Published 31 August 2026

Short answer

Yes, two ways on Autunes. With Sing it in my voice (Creator plan), you record about 20 seconds of yourself singing and any song you made on Autunes is re-sung in your timbre, for 8 credits. Or use Jam on any plan: sing the song yourself and the AI adds the band underneath, so the vocal in the finished track is literally you, for 10 credits.

You do not need to be a trained singer to release a song in your own voice anymore. Voice conversion models can take a professionally sung vocal and re-perform it in your timbre — your tone, your texture — while keeping the melody, timing and words of the original performance.

On Autunes this is wired into two places, depending on where you start.

Route 1: Jam — you sing, the AI adds the band

Record your song on the Jam page, or upload a recording, describe the sound you want, and press Add the band. Your take stays exactly as you sang it and a full arrangement is built underneath, so the voice in the finished track is yours because it is your actual recording. Jam is open on every plan, including Free.

  • Add the band to your take: 10 credits
  • Extend to roughly three minutes: 20 credits more

Route 2: Sing it in my voice — re-sing a finished song

Open a song you made on Autunes in the editor and pick Sing it in my voice. Record about 20 seconds of yourself singing, a cappella in a quiet room, and the AI re-sings the track's vocals in your timbre while keeping the melody, words and music. It is available on Pro and Creator and costs 8 credits per song. Uploaded mixes are not supported yet.

Your voice samples are used for your own conversions, not to train public models.

Frequently asked questions

How much of my voice does the AI need?

About 20 seconds of clean singing, with no music behind it. Record somewhere quiet, close to the microphone. In Jam no sample is needed, because your recording is the vocal itself.

Can I use someone else's voice?

Only with their permission. Cloning a voice you do not have rights to can violate publicity and impersonation laws — Autunes' terms require you to have consent for any voice you upload.

Does the cloned song keep the original melody and words?

Yes. Voice conversion changes the timbre — whose voice it sounds like — while the melody, timing and lyrics of the performance stay the same.
